If you are considering the PADI Rescue Diver course, you have passed a significant milestone in your dive training. Regardless of what your long-term motivations might be, you have passed through the "egocentric gate" of being concerned soley about yourself when you dive. You have begun to think outward and of the well being of those with whom you dive. You have become a very valuable buddy for your friends, family and other casual diver colleagues! The objective of the Rescue Diver course is teach students (1) to manage more complex diving emergencies and (2) the application of direct intervention techniques to assist others in an emergency. The Rescue Diver courses is mandatory for all higher level PADI leadership certifications. This is a serious course in many ways. However, we strive to make it an enjoyable challenge that will build your confidence as you progress with your training.
